Northern Lights offers 15% to 18% THC and that ﾀﾜold-school classicﾀﾝ taste of fruit and skunk. It's stayed one of the world's favourite strains for so long because it's nicely compact, quick and offers decent yields, together with a beginner-friendly, hassle-free grow thanks to all the landrace genetics.

With 15% to 18% THC, Northern Lights would be described as moderately strong by today's standards, it's still plenty strong enough to deal with a wide range of physical and mental conditions and it does so with a gentle touch rather than blasting you into a THC high. This is an old-fashioned Indica dominant so the THC lift is nicely balanced with a deeply relaxing full-body stone.

The taste is exactly what you'd expect from a quality example of Northern Lights. It has lemon and pine on the top, followed by skunk pungency and then robust but sweet earthiness. The fragrance is very much citrus and so is unlikely to upset the neighbours with its pungency.

This version Northern Lights still stays nicely compact, growing within a range of 80cm (indoor minimum) to 1.2M (outdoor maximum). As well as being short in size, it's also low in odour and so again is unlikely to upset the neighbours. Indoors it will finish flowering in just 7 to 9 weeks and yield up to 450g/m2 and outdoors it will be ready for harvest around the end of September or start of October and produce up to 600g per plant.

Genetically, this version of Northern Lights is based on Afghani, so it's full of landrace genetics which make for robustness and an all-round simple grow. This makes it a great choice for beginners.
