  • Halloween cookie cutters (optional)
  • 1 medium bowl, 1 large bowl
  • Beater or standing mixer
  • Ungreased cookie sheets
  • Frosting, icing, sprinkles or halloween decor (optional)
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cannabis infused butter* (can reduce and replace with regular butter for less potency - i.e. ½ cup of cannabutter + ½ cup of real butter)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • Combine your cannabis infused butter, egg, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat with a mixer on medium speed until completely blended.
  • In a separate medium-sized bowl, combine your flour, baking powder, and salt. Sift for best results.
  • Slowly add your dry ingredients to the wet mixture, a little bit at a time. Continue to stir or mix, until the ingredients are fully incorporated. If you want, you can add sprinkles to the dough at this time or use for decor later.
  • Form your dough into a ball, and cover with plastic wrap. Place in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or longer.
  • When you’re ready to bake, preheat your oven to 375°F. Remove your dough from the refrigerator.
  • Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, and roll dough out until it’s approximately ⅓ inch thick. Use your Halloween cookie cutters to cut individual cookies out. Transfer the shaped dough to ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or when you notice the tops becoming a light golden brown.
  • When done, remove cookies from tray and place on a cooling rack to cool
  • Once cooled, frost with orange, black, green, purple or green colored frosting and get creative with decorating! Using icing to add spiderwebs, jack-o-lantern faces, ghosts, ‘boo’ lettering, or witch hats.

Cannabis Pumpkin Bread

It’s pumpkin spice season, and no ultimate halloween treat list is without a good recipe for pumpkin bread. Even better, this version is cannabis-infused to add an extra element of elevation to your spice filled loaf. You can whip up this recipe with leftover pumpkin flesh from carving jack-o-lanterns, or year-round with canned pumpkin puree.

  • 1 loaf pan (9x5 in)
  • 1 medium bowl, 1 large bowl
  • Beater or stand mixer
  • ½ cup cannabis infused coconut oil (or reduce for potency and substitute with regular coconut oil, i.e. ¼ cup cannabis infused coconut oil + ¼ cup regular coconut oil)

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (or puree 1 cup flesh of fresh pumpkin)
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously grease your loaf pan with cooking spray, butter, vegetable oil or coconut oil.
  • In your medium bowl, mix the flour (sift prior), salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Combine until fully mixed and set aside.
  • In your large bowl or stand mixer, beat the sugar, pumpkin puree, coconut oil, water, vanilla extract, and eggs together on medium speed. Stop mixing when the mixture is just blended.
  • On a lower speed, slowly add your dry ingredients a little bit at a time until completely combined.
  • Pour your batter into the greased loaf pan, and put into the oven. Bake for 65 - 70 minutes, checking with a toothpick in the center of the loaf ensuring it comes out clean. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for around 10 minutes, and then place onto a wire rack to finish cooling.
  • Want to add a glaze? Mix powdered sugar + milk until the right consistency, and drizzle over the top.

Cannabis infused coconut oil

For a number of these recipes you will need to use cannabis infused coconut oil. This simple recipe is easily adapted if you want a higher or lower dosage, you can also substitute the coconut oil for butter or olive oil.

  • 1 cup cannabis (7-10grams)
  • 1 Cup coconut oil

what you will need

  • Grinder
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking tray
  • Saucepan/double boiler
  • Cheesecloth
  • Mason jar (or similar)

  • Firstly you will need to grind up your bud ready to decarboxylate. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and spread your ground bud over it, ready to put in the oven.
  • Place in to oven at 240F/115C for 30-45 minutes. Once out let it cool.
  • Add your coconut oil to a saucepan or double boiler and begin melting on a low heat. Once the oil has melted add in your cannabis and continue to warm for 2-3 hours stirring occasionally.
  • Now place the cheesecloth over the top of the jar you are using and slowly pour the oil mixture on to it. Allow the oil to strain through in to the jar, until all that is left in the cloth is plant matter.
  • Place a lid on the jar and store in the refrigerator. The oil will solidify and is then ready to use.
